One click physics compound shapes *Blender 2.91+ only*. Compound or custom collision shapes calculate faster and give greater control over the 'Mesh' shape.
With one click it takes care of:
Enable active physics on the parent, set origin point, apply scale.
All of the child objects: physics enabled, parent the children, apply scale, set origin point, set viewport visibility to wireframe, disable in renders, apply the selected collision shape.
It is fine to append additional children.

How to use:
Select the child objects which will become the compound shape or 'custom collision mesh'.
Select the main parent object, ensure it is the active object.
Click 'Create Compound Shape'
